Frequently Asked — EV Accessories

Is a 22 kW cable backwards compatible with 7 kW chargers?

Yes. A 22 kW (three-phase 32 A) Type 2 cable works with any AC charger up to its rated capacity — including 7 kW, 11 kW and slower public chargers. If you might upgrade your wallbox later, buying the 22 kW cable now future-proofs your setup.

Can I use a Schuko adapter with my portable charger for fast charging?

No. A Schuko outlet is rated for 16 A continuous but typically derated to 10–13 A for safety. Our portable chargers default to a safe rate on Schuko. For faster portable charging you need a CEE 16 A or 32 A socket.
