Light for a Doorway or Path — No Electrician, No Cable, No Bill

Our smallest solar flood light. It gives about as much light as a 40 W bulb, switches itself on at dusk and off at dawn, and needs no connection to your house at all. Ideal for a front door, a garden path, a shed or a balcony.

How Bright Is It, Really?

Model About as bright as Best for
60W (this one) a 40 W bulb Front door, path, balcony, shed
100W a 60 W bulb Single driveway
150W a 75 W bulb Double driveway, garden
200W a 75–100 W bulb Large yard
300W a 100 W bulb Car park, farm, business

All of that light is aimed forward and down, so on the ground it looks stronger than a bare bulb of the same output.

The Real Saving Is the Installation

Running mains power to a shed or the end of a path means an electrician, a trench and a cable — usually €200 to €600. A solar light skips all of it. The saving on your electricity bill is real but small (a few euros a year); the installation is where the money actually stays in your pocket.

Why It Costs More Than a €20 Supermarket Light

Cheap solar lights use standard lithium batteries good for roughly 300–500 charges. Charged daily, that is a season or two before they stop lasting the night. This one uses LiFePO4, the chemistry used in home battery storage: it typically lasts several times as many charge cycles.

Questions People Ask

How much area does it light?
Roughly 15–20 m² of useful light — a doorway, a path, a small patio. For a driveway, choose the 100W model.

Does it work in winter and in the rain?
Rain and snow are no problem: it is IP65. Daylight is the limit. In December Estonia gets about six hours of mostly overcast daylight and an 18-hour night, so no solar light runs from dusk to dawn in those weeks. From November to January, set the remote timer to a few evening hours at reduced brightness, tilt the panel steeply towards the south and brush snow off it. Lithium batteries also charge poorly below freezing. From spring to autumn a sunny day charges it fully.

How many hours does it stay on?
Up to 12 hours on a full charge. The remote lets you dim it or set a timer to stretch it further.

Do I need to switch it on?
No. The light sensor turns it on at dusk and off at dawn automatically.

How long will it last?
The battery is what ages. LiFePO4 cells typically last several times as many charge cycles as standard lithium, so expect years of daily use rather than a single season. 24 months of warranty from us.
