About GiraffeVolt
Is GiraffeVolt a real store? Yes. We are a new Estonian online store launching in late 2026. Our warehouse is in Lehmja, near Tallinn. We ship within Estonia and will add other European countries after launch.
Why do all products show as "sold out" right now? Because we don't take money for anything we can't ship this week. The first inventory — EV wall boxes and portable chargers, portable power stations and EV cleaning kits — arrives at the Tallinn warehouse at launch. From that day the "sold out" labels come off. Sign up for early access and we'll email you the day it changes.
Why aren't there any customer reviews yet? Because nobody has bought anything yet — we haven't opened. We won't fake reviews or buy them, so the review space stays empty until real customers write real ones after launch.
Why buy from a new store instead of a known brand? Three honest answers: our prices are lower because we don't carry the markup of a brand name, we publish full specifications so you can compare like-for-like with anything on the market, and we recommend the smaller, cheaper product when it fits your needs. If one of our products doesn't match a bigger brand, we'll say so.
Who is behind GiraffeVolt? One person for now — the founder answers every email at support@giraffevolt.shop, personally, within one business day. The team grows after launch.
Choosing an EV Charger
Which charger fits my car? All our chargers use the Type 2 connector, which every new electric car and plug-in hybrid sold in Europe today has. Choose your car in Find Your Charger and it shows you the one to buy. Some older used cars, such as a Nissan Leaf built before 2018, have a Type 1 port instead: email us your model before you order.
Should I choose 7 kW, 11 kW or 22 kW?
- 7 kW: for a home with single-phase power, or a car that charges on one phase
- 11 kW: for a home with three-phase power. The right choice for most cars
- 22 kW: only for a three-phase 3×32 A supply and a car that accepts more than 11 kW

Do you install the wall box? No. Wall boxes are sold without installation, so you can choose your own local electrician. A wall box needs its own circuit: single-phase 32 A for 7 kW, three-phase 3×16 A for 11 kW and three-phase 3×32 A for 22 kW. Most installations take a few hours, and your electrician can email us with any question.
Can I charge at home without a wall box? Yes, with a portable charger. The 3.5 kW charger plugs into a normal household socket and adds about 15–20 km of range per hour. The 7 kW charger plugs into a blue CEE 32 A socket and adds about 40 km of range per hour. Nothing to install, and it moves with you.
What is the difference between the WallBox S1 and S2? The charging, the app and the RFID card are the same. The S2 is an upright box with TÜV Rheinland certification and a built-in RCD (Type A + 6 mA DC). The S1 Compact is round, only 6 cm deep, and costs a little less.
Can a wall box be installed outdoors? Yes. The S2 is rated IP65 and the S1 is rated IP66, so both are protected against rain and snow.
Can I charge at night, when electricity is cheaper? Yes. Both wall boxes come with a smartphone app that lets you start, stop and schedule charging for the night hours.
Backup Power and Power Stations
Which power station do I need? Start from what has to keep running:
- Phones and a lamp: FP300
- Router, laptop, lights and a camping cool box: FP600
- Kitchen fridge, internet and lights: TD1200
- Long outages, and a full-size kettle: TD2400

Will it run my fridge? The TD1200 runs a kitchen fridge for about 14 hours and the TD2400 for about 29 hours. The FP300 and FP600 are for smaller devices and a camping cool box.
Can a power station power my whole house? No. It powers what you plug directly into it: the fridge, router, lights, phones and a laptop. It is not wired into your house, so there is no electrician and no installation.
How long does the battery last? All our power stations use LiFePO4 cells. The manufacturer rates them to keep about 80% of their capacity after 800 full charge cycles. A backup unit is only fully cycled during outages, so reaching that point takes many years.
Can I leave it plugged in all the time? Yes. LiFePO4 is suited to being left on charge, so the station is always ready when the power goes out.
Can I charge it from a solar panel? Yes. Folding solar panels are sold separately: the 100 W panel for the FP300, the 200 W panel for the FP600, and two 200 W panels for the TD1200 and TD2400.
Is it safe to use indoors? Yes. There are no fumes and almost no noise. Charge it between 0°C and 40°C.
Can I take it on a plane? No. Airlines allow 100–160 Wh, and even our smallest station is 192 Wh. Car, camper, train and boat are fine.
Ordering & Payment
What payment methods do you accept? The payment methods available to you are shown at checkout, before you pay. All prices are in euros and include Estonian VAT.
Do I need an account to order? No, you can check out as a guest. An account lets you track orders and see your purchase history.
Can I change or cancel my order? Email support@giraffevolt.shop as soon as you can. If the order hasn't shipped yet, we can usually change or cancel it.
Do you offer discounts for businesses? Yes, from 5 units. Email business@giraffevolt.shop with what you need and we'll send a quote. See Ordering & Payment for more.
Shipping & Delivery
Where do you ship from? All orders ship from our warehouse in Lehmja, near Tallinn, Estonia, with Omniva, DPD and Smartposti.
Which countries do you deliver to? We currently deliver within Estonia. Delivery to other European countries is coming.
How much does shipping cost?

How long does delivery take? 1–2 business days. Orders placed before 14:00 Estonian time on business days usually leave the same day.
How do I track my order? Once your order ships, you'll receive an email with a tracking number and link. You can also log into your account to check your order status.
Do prices include VAT? Yes. All prices include Estonian VAT, and there are no extra fees at delivery.
Can I change my delivery address after ordering? Contact us at support@giraffevolt.shop as soon as possible. If your order hasn't shipped yet, we can usually update the address.
Returns & Warranty
Can I return a product? Yes. You can return any product within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason. Email support@giraffevolt.shop with your order number to start.
Who pays for return shipping? If you changed your mind, you do: the easiest way is to send the parcel from any Omniva, DPD or Smartposti parcel locker. If the product is faulty, damaged in transit or the wrong item, we pay.
When do I get my refund? We refund the product price and the standard delivery cost within 14 days, to your original payment method.
Can I return a wall box after it has been installed? Yes, within 14 days. Your electrician must disconnect it. Installation and removal costs are not refunded, and the refund may be reduced if the charger shows signs of installation or use.
What warranty do I get? All products have a 2-year warranty from the day you receive them. If a product develops a fault that is not caused by misuse, we repair it, replace it or refund you, and we pay the shipping for warranty repairs.
How do I make a warranty claim? Email support@giraffevolt.shop with your order number, a short description and a photo or video of the problem. We reply within one working day. Full details: Returns & Warranty.
