Type 2 to Type 2 EV Charging Cable – 22 kW / 32 A 3-Phase, 5 m
Your electric car deserves a charging cable you can rely on every single day. The GiraffeVolt Type 2 to Type 2 charging cable delivers up to 22 kW of three-phase power, so you spend less time waiting and more time driving.
With a generous 5-metre length, you can comfortably reach the charging port no matter how you park – at home, at work, or at a public station. The high-quality H07BZ5-F (5G6 mm²) copper conductors are rated for a continuous 32 A across three phases, while the robust, flexible jacket withstands daily use, sun, cold and rain.
Thanks to the universal Type 2 (IEC 62196-2 / "Mennekes") connectors on both ends, this cable works with all current electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles in Europe and with every standard AC wallbox or public charge point. It is also fully backward compatible: connect to a single-phase or lower-amperage source and the cable simply charges at the maximum your car and station allow.
Delivered in a neutral storage bag and box – ready to keep neatly in your boot.

FAQ
Will this cable fit my electric car?
Yes. The Type 2 connector is the European standard (IEC 62196-2). This cable works with all current EVs and plug-in hybrids that have a Type 2 charging port – including Tesla, VW ID, Skoda, Audi, BMW, Hyundai, Kia and more.
My car only charges at 11 kW – can I still use a 22 kW cable?
Absolutely. The cable always supports the maximum your car and the charging station allow. A 22 kW cable is future-proof: it also charges perfectly at 11 kW, 7.4 kW or 3.7 kW.
What is the difference between a Type 2 to Type 2 cable and a Mode 2 (household plug) cable?
This is a Mode 3 cable for wallboxes and public AC charging stations – the fast, safe everyday solution. A Mode 2 cable plugs into a normal household socket and charges much more slowly.
Is 5 metres long enough?
For almost all situations, yes. 5 m comfortably reaches the charging port from most parking positions at home and at public stations.
Can I leave the cable outside in the rain?
The cable and connectors are built for outdoor use. We still recommend storing it in the included bag when not in use to maximise its lifespan.
