Portable Power Stations and Home Backup

Power When and Where You Need It
A portable power station is a large rechargeable battery in a box, with sockets on the outside. Charge it from the wall, from a solar panel or from your car, and use it to run anything from a phone to a fridge, anywhere there is no mains.
Our PUFA range runs from a 300 W unit you carry with one hand to a 2,400 W unit that keeps a household going through a long outage. Every model uses LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) cells, a pure sine wave inverter and built-in MPPT solar charging.
Camping, Vans and Short Outages
- PUFA FP300 — 192Wh, 300 W, 4 kg: phones, lights, a laptop and a speaker for a weekend. Solar input up to 180 W.
- PUFA FP600 — 512Wh, 600 W, 7 kg: several days of camping with a cool box, or the essentials for a day at home. 100 W USB-C, UPS function.
Home Backup and Off-Grid
Big enough to keep a fridge, heating controls, the internet router and lights running through a power cut. You plug appliances straight into the unit; nothing is wired into your house.
- PUFA TD1200 — 1,024Wh, 1,200 W, 16.5 kg: a kitchen fridge for about 14 hours, plus router and lights. Solar input up to 400 W.
- PUFA TD2400 — 2,048Wh, 2,400 W, 24 kg: a fridge for more than a day, and enough output for a full-size kettle or a microwave. Solar input up to 400 W. This is a self-contained unit and does not take an expansion battery.
Solar Panels
Pair a station with a folding panel to recharge away from the mains.
- PF-100W (4.3 kg, MC4): the match for the FP300, and a lighter option for the FP600.
- PF-200W (5.8 kg, Anderson): the match for the FP600, and two of them for the TD1200 or TD2400.

Why LiFePO4
- Thermally stable: much less prone to overheating than the NMC lithium-ion used in phones and many older power stations.
- Honest lifespan figure: the manufacturer rates PUFA batteries to keep about 80% of their capacity after 800 full charge cycles. A backup unit that is only fully cycled during outages takes many years to get there.
- Cold weather: charge between 0 °C and 40 °C. The units run in colder conditions, but should be warmed up before charging.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long will a power station run my fridge?
A modern fridge averages around 40–60 W. The FP600 runs it for most of a night, the TD1200 for about 14 hours and the TD2400 for more than a day.
Can I charge it from solar?
Yes. Every PUFA station has built-in MPPT solar charging. Match the panel to the station's solar input rating; a bigger panel will not charge it faster.
Is it safe to use indoors?
Yes. Unlike a petrol generator, a battery power station produces no exhaust and almost no noise.
Can I take it on a plane?
No. All our power stations are above the 100–160 Wh airline limit for lithium batteries.
