The Panel for Serious Off-Grid Power

A 200 W folding solar panel — the manufacturer's recommended match for our larger power stations. Two of them together fill a TD1200 in a single sunny day and keep a fridge running through a van trip or a long outage.

Why Two Panels for the TD Models?

The TD1200 and TD2400 accept up to 400 W of solar. One 200 W panel works, but two use the full input and halve the charging time — the difference between refilling in one day or two.

What to Expect From Solar

Real-world output is lower than the rating. In good direct sun a 200 W panel typically delivers 120–150 W.
Angle matters more than anything. Tilt it towards the sun and re-angle during the day.
Avoid partial shade — a shadow across one corner cuts output far more than you would expect.
Northern Europe: excellent from April to September, much weaker in deep winter.

Is it heavy?
5.8 kg. It folds to 603 × 588 mm, about the size of a large pizza box, and fits behind a car seat.

Can I connect two together?
Two panels are the recommended setup for the TD1200 and TD2400. How they are connected depends on the station's solar input, so please ask us before connecting two panels and we will supply the right cable.

What connector does it have?

Can I leave it out in the rain?
It is built for outdoor use, but fold it away in heavy rain and keep the connectors dry.
